Dr. Husam Eddin

CEO/Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Husam Eddin, a family medicine, geriatric, and hospice physician, founded Excellence Health to provide comprehensive healthcare services in the Volusia and Flagler counties. He graduated from Damascus University Faculty of Medicine in 1993 and completed his residency in Family Medicine at Methodist Hospital in Houston between 2002 and 2005.

Since then, Excellence Health has expanded to multiple locations and services, including multiple clinics in Daytona Beach, Ormond, Palm Coast, Port Orange, and New Smyrna Beach, offering services such as post-acute primary care and hospice care and home visits, along side Excellence Medical Labs and Excellence Health Clinical Research in Daytona Beach, Florida. Dr. Eddin serves as the medical director for multiple skilled nursing facilities and is the AdventHealth Post-Acute Strategy Medical Director and the Halifax Continuum of Care Medical Director.

Valentina Lepsky-Perla

Director of Clinical Research Operations

Valentina Lepsky-Perla is a results-driven clinical research leader with more than 26 years of experience overseeing research operations, regulatory compliance, and cross-functional collaboration across academic, hospital, and private-sector settings.

Her passion lies in building efficient, ethical, and innovative research programs that bring scientific discovery to life while maintaining full alignment with FDA, ICH/GCP, and institutional standards. She is known for leading teams with both precision and purpose, ensuring strategic oversight and operational excellence from study start-up through close-out.

Throughout her career, Valentina has launched new clinical research departments, optimized study activation workflows, and partnered closely with sponsors, CROs, and investigators to accelerate progress. She believes that success in research is not defined solely by data, but by people, integrity, and a shared commitment to improving patient outcomes.

Susan (Torrey) McCroskey BBA LPN

Clinical Research Study Coordinator

Susan (Torrey) McCroskey is a healthcare professional with over 10 years of experience in medical administration, patient coordination, and clinical operations, with expanding expertise in clinical research support.

She has worked across diverse healthcare settings, managing documentation, scheduling, insurance verification, and regulatory workflows while supporting providers and research teams through accurate data management, compliance, and patient engagement.

Building on her strong clinical foundation, Susan has found her passion as a Clinical Research Study Coordinator, with over three years of experience managing Phase I, II, and III clinical trials in the neurology therapeutic area. She is committed to delivering high-quality, ethical research and is recognized for strengthening patient enrollment strategies and improving overall trial efficiency.

Lindsey Rodriguez

Research Market Strategist

Lindsey Rodriguez serves as the Research Market Strategist for Excellence Health Clinical Research. With extensive experience in healthcare operations, physician practice management, and community-based care models, she focuses on identifying research opportunities that align with the needs of local patient populations. Lindsey works closely with providers, industry partners, and clinical teams to support the development and growth of Excellence Health’s clinical research initiatives.

Wendy Kelsey

Research Business Manager

Wendy Kelsey serves as the Research Business Manager for Excellence Health Clinical Research. She oversees the administrative and financial aspects of the organization’s research initiatives, supporting budgeting, contracting, and operational coordination to ensure the smooth management of clinical research activities.
